I woke up today rather chilled. I went over and saw Mr. Yankee Doodle looking a bit clamped up, so of course I ran out after class and picked him up a tiny tank heater. He's now happily swimming through his plants and being a total spaz. Still no pictures. I'm working on it.
In other news, I got a bed. A real bed! not a very big one, just a twin, but it's not filled with air. And it came off craigslist for $40 in great condition. I'm proud of how thrifty I've managed to be while supplying my room. It makes a bit of noise when I move, but I'm hoping it's just new. Possible? right? All I need now is maybe a dresser and a rug. This place is starting to feel like home.
Managed to write a little blurb today, it's better than nothing.
Anyone have any one - two syllables long names of classical authors, artist, composers, or other famous figures(including famous characters from classical novels)? It's going to be a name. Yes, I got myself into trouble again. I'm adopting a male rat from the area shelter. I'm picking him up tomorrow.
Here he is a few months ago. Poor boy has been in the shelter system for at least two months. He needs a new name. I'm not only getting him, I'm getting a cage for a grand total of $10.
I'm excited. He's such a love bug. I'm going to have to get him a cage mate, but he's been on his own for quite some time. He's also HUGE compared to my girls. Even though my girls are rather petite, he's a big boy. Funny story, when I went to the shelter they had him labeled as a girl and I was planning on getting him as a friend for my girls. Good thing I checked!
