OK...I'm in El Paso.
I'm testing....and after doing so for 6 hours..I get hungry....
..so I find this little local Japanese rice-box place near the tower I'm testing...
I go in to order...but the Mexicans working there don't speak English..so they can't take my order...
I ask for the manager/owner...and get a little old Japanese guy...he can't speak English very well either...
I ask him if he is Japanese..( sumimasen anata wa nihonjin desu ka) in Japanese..and he says Hai..so desu..and his eyes get HUGE..( him: anata wa nihongo ni wakarimasu ka..me: hai so desu )
....So I order from the menu in Japanese and he starts ordering the workers around in Spanish.
.....weird.
