Rib-bit Rib-bit....( man this throat still hurts )
Got a sinus infection a week ago...( still working up here btw..was in South OK, but now I'm back up here in bloody KS )...managed to get a day off and spend it with Nat ( and give Beth a much deserved break..)
but I had this frog in my throat and felt real tired. I told Nat about it making me tired, coughing and ache all over. A little while later, I fell asleep on the couch.....
only to wake up to Nat standing next to me with a pair of serving tongs in one hand and a flashlight in the other...and saying :
' I will get that frog out Daddy'
As I open my mouth to say '..uh no it's ok honey' she jambs the tongs into my mouth and turns on the light and looks real deep into my throat and says..
'Daddy..I can't see the frog..where is it?'
so after removing the tongs I have to explain to her that 'I have a frog in my throat' is a saying, not a real condition....which made her a little miffed.
I tell this story to Beth..she thinks no way..you are making this up. She goes to ask Nat about it...and Nat confirms the story ..adding she was upset cause she wanted to help..and went to the trouble of getting the tongs..and she was embarrassed that it was a turn of phrase and not a real frog!
Beth would not stop laughing.
