My grandma gave me a newspaper article she had saved for me. It was an article about this guy Nathan who was my best friend when I lived in South Bend. We were always together and stuff until I moved when I was 7. Anyway, the article was about him and how he writes symphonies for Riley High School's orchestra. It was amazing. Not only because he's almost 16 and is writing music like that, but because we kinda grew up together and I had never known anything about him being so interested in music. I remember when I spent the night at his house and we would sit in his basement and play all these kool instruments he had. He had a drumset and like a little accordian and all these percussion instruments and stuff like that.
The article said he plays clarinet, oboe, guitar, piano, and violin. I only knew about the violin because I've seen him play it at his church. I was just absolutely in awe at the fact that he I never knew until now that he's been writing music since he was little. It was just amazing. I'll post the article later.
