Friday was a pretty big day in terms of amazingness, and other natural phenomenoms of course. I got my first chance at being the T-bird at the football game, and I mean this quite literally. I actually got in the bird costume and paraded around with the cheer leaders for about 45 minutes while people yelled at me. And let me say it is not an easy task by any stretch of imagination. First of all its extremely hard to breath, and difficult to see. Actually come to think of it, the costume basically impairs all of my senses in one way or another. Especially walking, although not a sense... Plus the crowd is basically insane, granted their rooting for me, but usually its barking out demands and what not. In summation the job consists mostely of parding around, pumping up the crowd, waving my arms, and shaking my fist. What a sweet gig.
If thats not enough I hatched my " homecoming " plan on Alison Osborne. Heres how it went down...( I came up with this about a week prior ).
it was about 2 minutes from halftime and I had strategically placed one Micheal Erickson in the middle of the front rows of the crowd, with him was a rose. Also in the dark depths of my costume I had placed a envelope between my belt, in it was a notecard with the word " homecoming ? " on it. At 1 minutes till, I spring into action getting the envelope to my hand, and the rose from Micheal, swinging it behind my back so the crowd, and only the crowd, can see it. I make my way up into the first cheerleading line and tap Alison on the shoulder, and give her the letter. Because it was placed in between my sweaty body and the inner parts of the suit it was extremely limp and difficult to open. Finally she gets it open and reads the note. I hand her the rose, the crowd applauses/awws/cheers.
it went pretty good.
