Beware the Ides of March...
Today was the first time I've ever experienced something interesting during March 15th (outside of watching the murder of Julius Caesar during my lunch with the other Latin classes in the past).
Breaking News: ESCAMBIA CO. - Firefighters are responding to a small fire in a portable building at Escambia High School.
Some students have been evacuated.
We have a crew at the school and will update you as more information becomes available

Yeah, there was a fire at school. Someone decided it would be awesome to set the paper towels in THE GROTTO FOR MALES (which is what I call the bathrooms in the modules). They timed this fire just in time for the heat wave. I don't know why I thought wearing a sweatshirt with only a camisole underneath was a great idea...then again, I didn't get adequate sleep the night before.
So I spent a good hour in the Florida heat, and thankfully had the company of DD, Megan, and Christa. We were wandering everywhere, desperate to find shade. However, that's nearly impossible when it's noon and you're facing west. We ended up camping under one of the cars for a good 10 minutes until it was okay to go in. Minus all the complaining about the heat and lack of water and food, it was pretty fun not doing work when there was only two more days left in the semester!
Right now, I'm stalking the local news because I know that the camera caught me in my delusional act of kicking the fence like a loon and doing an "Osaka Bang" showdown with Christa.
OMG, NEVER MIND I JUST SAW THE REPORT! I think I saw myself as a little grey blur idling behind the buggy! ladksfjlasj. I'll just post the video back here if I see it available online.
Goodness, my town is so very country.
One more thing I must add before finishing this entry! I think the most disappointing thing today was that we never got to finish the Ides of March play in Latin IV. I really wanted to be a conspirator and murder DD Caesar! However, they said that they're going to do the play the Monday we return from Spring Break...however, I go back to school Wednesday because I'm stuck in NYC. It really makes me mad just thinking about it. I've been waiting all year for this! BAHHHHH!
