I am overwhelmed!!!!
Week before last, I realized that what I thought were zits around my acne-prone daughter's mouth were more than likely cold sores. Then the fever came, then they showed up on her hands and her throat was sore. My wonderful naturopath is just not available when really needed usually, so off to the md-that-we-don't-like, who is usually on call when we need an MD. A couple of blood tests, and a worry-filled weekend later, she is on strong antibiotics and feeling better. I'm still not sure what those sores were.
Now my 6 year old has had mysterious hives come and go the last few days. No fever, but some vomiting yesterday morning. Ugh.
Last night, an old friend who I thought I'd never find again came for dinner. My mom happened to run into her a couple of months ago. It was wonderful to see her and hang with her, I was so sad when I realized I might never see her again. It was very odd, though, to see our teens (my thirteen year old girl and her sixteen year old boy), not have the guts to say hardly a word to each other. They were the best of friends when they were little. He was actually her first ever buddy. He became like a son to me, which was good and bad. Now he towers over me! It was a very strange feeling.
Melissa's coming! YAYYYYYYYYYYY! But it's a tav, so Jasmine can't go. She is not very happy with me right now.
