The first five people to respond to this post, will get some form of art, by me, about [or tailored to] them. I make no guarantees about quality or type, but I will assure that I will give it good effort and that the art will be individual to you.

The only catch: if you sign up, you have to put this in your own journal as well.

well, what's the exception?

It seems like you make a lot of exceptions for me. . .

also, how have you been? i've been ok, i have been working over forty hours a week at my job and i have been chomping at the bit to figure my next life step. i told kathy that i would work while she went to school, but now i'm thinking that i want to go to master's school and be a teacher soon rather than later. i dunno, i just want to create and work at a decent job and be content. life is trying sometimes, i guess.
how's the hubby?

the husband is good -- he's working on his senior project for graduation (5 commercials). I just took the GRE (730 Verbal, 740 Quantitative, and I haven't gotten the analytical writing portion scored yet). I'm glad to be done studying for that! I want to say so much more to you, and yet I don't want to type it. What's a girl to do? ...

I still do want some art, by the way. Don't be confused by my apparently confusing post).

What's your job? You know, I ask that because I don't know and because I think that it's an important part of who you are, but then I realize that even if you do spend over 40 hours a week there, you can answer that question in a single word -- therefore it can't possibly be any real important part of you. So, you can tell me what your job is, but then throw in something substantial too -- about you, of course.

is burgermeister one word? crazylikezaxon November 20 2006, 08:03:57 UTC
i flip burgers for 10.75 per hour. soon to be 11.10. i am getting paid more than the job is worth but not enough for what i am worth. i need to get a career somewhere. my adobe photoshop is on the fritz, but i got planzes, you'll see. tell your hubby i actually did two movies over the summer, they were my first but i did a fifteen minute narrative and a 44 second arthouse piece. i hate competetition, it aggravates me in the worst ways, and when i was talking to some guy about my movies he's all "i do two hour narratives and the editing software you use (adobe premier) sucks". bear in mind that i am paraphrasing because i grew to really not like his contemptuous attitude over the course of the night, rather than a single instant.
i need to get a competative mindset, it's the only way that i will get better at creating.
peace
patrick

Burgermeister is definitely one word. $10.75 to be a burgermeister? That is definitely more than the job is worth and definitely not enough for what you're worth. Of all my jobs, my best paying one (and the one I work the least often) pays me $10.00/hr to be a receptionist, often in the middle of the night. My favorite job (as a chaplain) is the one that pays me the least... but it's so awesome that I'd almost do it for free.

Don't pay attention to those self-aggrandizing folks, Patrick. Their art really has very little impact on your own.

Are you still in Olympia? What do you want to do for grad school?

grad scizzy!? i need to go, kathy and i are going to have a heart t heart because i can just pick up an MIT here at the green but she wants to do other things that would require other schools. but i must admit: i like hanging out here (oly), just BEING for a little while. what all are you doing? chaplaindizing? i could do that.
"chaplain, chaplain. tell me of the state of my soul!"
"immortal and cheesey."

what does Kathy want to do? and where?

chaplaindizing? Yes. And I would not tell you that your soul is immortal; that's something Plato would say. Cheesy? I probably wouldn't tell you that either. What would I say? "Blurry-eyed."
