Character(s) played: Rákaneth the Wolf
Highlights:
-Friday night: We arrive to the sounds of combat going on in town. After some difficulty in getting set up, we make it in town just in time for...
...wait for it...
ORX IN MAI TAON!
That was pretty much the theme of the weekend. Apparently, we're being pressed by orcs on all sides. Some fae show up - don't know what the leprechaun wanted, but the dryad needed help scaring some orcs away from her tree. Being the orc-hater he is, Rákaneth hops on. It's clear that this module was meant for lower-level players, but WOLVES! and other ANIMALS! and other things my Law actually works on show up...without crazy immunities! Holy crap, I get to be a druid! DRUIDTASTIC. Oh, and at the end where we were supposed to scare the orcs by sounding like ghosts, I had a hard time not howling...wound up scoring a necklace out of that, one that allows me to communicate with all animals and plants...AT WILL! YAY!
-Saturday morning/afternoon: Farms are being attacked! Livestock are being threatened by corrupted animals! Rákaneth to the rescue! That module was completely awesome. We had to move livestock (represented by cones) before they got consumed by corrupted animals. to move them, one of the following things is required:
--+6 Strength
--Animal Handling
--Nature magics
I have...all of these. I definitely win target module here. At the end, we subdue a badger and question it and come to find out all sorts of crazy things which become the subject of my rank challenge that I am given later on. YAY PLOT!
After this, there are MOAR ORX IN MAI TAON that we deal with, and I find out that there's a reasonable chance I could end up as the local Oghm master. Apparently, I have nowhere to go but up...
Went to a ruined orphanage where some important documents are kept. They're guarded by nasty vampiren and soldiers. We manage to hold off the vampiren when suddenly a scream rings out; the (NPC) scribe with us apparently watched Sir Viktor (another NPC) die before her eyes. I rush out, blowing up a Vampiren along the way, only to take double Incapacitate to the back, followed by True Dominate. I'm commanded to defend The Biggest Undead/Black Caster Thing I Have Ever Seen. A Seraphen (sp?) shows up and I'm doing my Dominated duty. He hits me for 1K Life to which I was glad to say No Effect; I'm trying to pull aggro but for once my tanking isn't working. Korwell triple Paralyzes me and ten minutes later I am a confused, sore, and stiff wolfman.
Note to self: WTB defense to True Dominate, PST.
-Saturday evening(monster shift): All Orcs, All the time. Played a black-school caster for most of it, spent the last hour as a Life->Elements mage. Harassing town with my various caster builds is always fun.
-Saturday evening(post-monster-shift): Get back in town in time to get eaten by ghasts, upon which I unleash my Weir-form. Apparently, I missed the big thing - as I was going to bed, everyone else was walking back. Ah, well. Game Off.
Other stuff:
-Druid index: 425%. DRUIDTASTIC. I love this game.
-All the awesome people were there, including Callon and my newbie Turalyon!
-Toban's player is THE WHOLE OGHM, apparently. He continues to be awesome. Basically, he is smacking me upside the head with plot that will make me develop my character.
Plans:
-OMG PLOT OMGOMGOMG. I actually intend on using my WS this time! And I'll actually put my Hunting 10 to use and get hides!
-Oghm Lore and Evasion. Must finish these now, especially if I wind up in the position I want to be in.
The badz:
-Poor Turalyon - my newbie was overwhelmed by LARP combat, and will wind up changing his concept.
-Poor Callon - messed up his shoulder, and had to go full mage. It's okay, I'll totally tank for you now!
