(no subject)
I've not been well this week (just a cold but tis sooo annoying) so i haven't been to gym :( so looking forward to some exercise tomorrow!!!
i'm in the process of applying for a job... a physio job!!There's only 2 positions going so fingers crossed but if not then there's also a senior assistants job going which is the next best thing so will just have to hope i get one of the two!! Unfortunately both are only temporary although they both say 6months initially, with the physio job that'll hopefully mean with a view to create a permanent job when there's funding available and with the assistants job it's for a long term sick leave so could be up to 12 months but they also won'r mind if i leave after a few months to get a physio job as they appreciate that's what i've spent the last three years training to do!! it's so frustrating!!
i wouldn't mind not yet having a job but a couple of years ago you were guaranteed a job and they've now increased the student intakes as there aren't enough physios but the fucked up government kinda overlooked the fact that if you increase the number of physio graduates you kinda need to increase the number of junior jobs... now to me that's obvious, especially when you can get a bursary and there's hundreds of physio graduates without jobs... as they pay at least everybody's fees (over £3000 over the 3 years) that's a hell of a lot of wasted money... i thought politicians were supposed to be clever but to me it looks like a basic lack of maths understanding and forward planning skills!!
aRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's so annoying... ah well i'm sure i'll get a job eventually... will just have to wait patiently!!
OK rant over!!
On a lighter note i bought an ipod yesterday (and it's pink!!!) yey (i was going to write the entry in pink in celebration but miranda's friends page is pink and last time i wrote in a funny colour it didn't show up very well (Boo... but i'm not moaning about your pink background miri!!) well actually i din't buy it... it was a belated graduation present but i am going to spend the next few days uploading all my music onto my computer so I can have it on me 'on the go' yey!!
hope everyone is ok and enjoying / will enjoy being back at uni... i'm making the most of being in poynton for a while coz although I always said I could never go back home after being at uni I'm actually not minding it too much.. although I do think it's partly because I know it's supposed to only be temporary thing and I can (and do) escape to liverpool quite frequently so I still get to see people (even if most people from Poynton seem to have gone back to university to be eternal students!!
I've just realised how long this is so I'm off to do work (filing oh yey!!) and to perfect my personal statement for my appliation form so they will give me a job, or at least an interview!!
