Ohhh and I'm having a contraction right now! YAY! MORE MORE!
I'm trying to stay on my feet as much as possible and do as much as i can to try to speed up this whole waiting for baby process... She's gotten so big that when she moves it really hurts when she hits my ribs! Poor little thing! I hope she doesn't come out with a dent in her butt from my rib! :-)
I can't believe it's December already!!! YAY! Everybody send me labor vibes please!! I'm ready!

It’s the calm before the storm... developmentally speaking anyway. Changes in your baby's weight have leveled off with only a few ounces of fat added this week. At this point your baby should weigh in at around 7 lbs and 20 inches (with boys somewhat heavier and longer than girls). Happily, as far as internal organs go, they are now developed enough to function in the outside world although the oh-so-important immune system is still developing and will continue to do so after birth. With a large boost of antibodies provided by breast milk when nursing begins. Fighting infection and staying healthy should be well within their physical capacity when your little fighter is born.

Congratulations! Your pregnancy is now considered full term - meaning your baby is developmentally ready to handle life outside the womb. (Babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 weeks are post-term.) Your baby probably weighs a little over 6 pounds at this point and measures between 19 and 20 inches, head to heel.
Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children are born blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

Your baby is continuing to grow and gain weight during these last few weeks. Also, he is practicing breathing movements in preparation for the “real world.” Your baby will also turn his head toward light and sound just as a newborn would. Around this time your baby's head must be down, if not it could be in a breech position (babies bottom or legs comes into the pelvis first). By the end of this week, your pregnancy would have come full term. Your baby can be born any day now. Your baby is anywhere from 19 to 20 inches long and weighs approximately 6.5 pounds.
