Last night was the first big drama in White Block! Loads of us decided to stay in and some of us went to Asda and bought lots of wine and various spirits. Those staying in were Me, Becka, Lucy, Alex, Charlotte, Emma and a boy called Rich. Most of us have fresher's flu and Lucy and becka and some others were already high on Cough syrup before they even started on the wine. As I sat, the most sober because I don't take cough syrup and I process alcohol really quickly (plus I don't like wine so I was drinking it so slowly that I had processed the last sip before even thinking about the next one) Becka got extremely drunk on wine and corona and Rich got it into his head that Becka and this other guy in the block, charlie, would make a really cute couple and he reckoned Charlie really liked her. Previously Charlie has tried to kiss her twice when he was drunk but that hardly means anything and everyone else were saying he gave of vibes so they knew he liked her. I didn't get any vibes but I figured I would keep my mouth shut because everyone else know them both far better than me. She didn't fancy him, but I could tell that she was having a thing where the prospect of someone liking you makes you think you like them a little bit more (does anyone else get that?).So everyone one convinced her to 'get with' Charlie when he he got back and by this point she was completely smashed, as was lucy, and they were calling Charlie telling him to come back because Becka was waiting for him. When he got back he just went to his room and one of the other boys told us that Charlie doesn't fancy Becka resulting in much loud drunken and depressed I-told-you-sos from becka and much venom aimed at Rich. It turns out that there were many wires crossed because all of the boys thought thought that Becka fancied Charlie just like all of the girls reckoned charlie liked Becka. Becka went to bed drunk, embarrassed and angry. Charlie went to bed confused. And everyone else, including an american exchange student whom Becka had drunkenly yelled at to come and join us a few hours before, went to bed slightly amused or guilty (depending on who you are).

Today I went to the botanic gardens with some other people from my block and we watched back to the future when we got back. A highly uneventful day.
