Dramaturgy

Does anyone know anything about dramaturgy...perhaps where I might be able to potentially find work in the field? I think it is the perfect bridge between research and education in a sense...for me anyway. I'd be able to still maintain my love for research while at the same time educating people (actors) about a certain time period and/or historical figures.
