Adventures on the F Train

Well, I accomplished nothing this weekend. I am at school now catching up the reading I was supposed to do over the weekend. Oh well. I have until 2pm, then I have to go to the Metropolitan Museum to learn about wood identification. Woo! I attempted to venture out yesterday and find a place where I could read. I first hopped the 6 train to NYU...the only thing I got was coffee. I was not feelin' NYU, so I got back on the 6 train and headed uptown to 42nd street. Upon meandering along 42nd to 5th Av, I came across Bryant Park and sat and read for a bit. It was such a nice day! Maybe after an hour I decided to just go back home and try to read there. I was going to take the 6, but came across the F train and knew it would stop at 63rd and I could walk home from there. It took about 2-3 minutes to get to the platform...I wondered if it even existed at this point. Ok, found it. It pulled into the station a few seconds later. Great timing. I get to my stop without a hitch. Collin (my cousin) can tell you that this stop, at 63rd street, is like descending into the 7th circle of hell. It is a piece of cake going back up to the street level. But when you are attempting to get to the train you have to take 3-4 flights of stairs (and these are LONG flights) to get to the platform, which is at the earth's core. Again, you think that it does not exist and this is just a sick joke being played by MTA. Needless to say it is somewhat difficult to breathe down there (so I exaggerate).

Anyway, I made it home and still accomplished nothing. And now I sit...still doing nothing. Not much has been happening other than work and school. Work is really fun most of the time. Never a dull moment. I have met some great people, and made good friends. I have to go to New England on Wednesday for a class trip and won't be back until Friday night. Then it is back to work on the weekend. The weather is getting nicer too, finally. I need to start investing in some warmer clothes...or just layer up. I want a pea coat, damn it!
