I really didn't want to work today, originally I didn't have to, but Thursday Bev asked me if I would, I agreed. A couple minutes later I was kicking myself. Bev has this weird hypnotic effect on people that gets people to do her bidding. Maybe its the fact that she's the manager and you want to stay on her good side, with the fact that she's nice and is flexible if you need to switch hours. Of course working on Sunday anywhere sucks because its Sunday and working on this day just feels wrong, Sundays at the shelter are nice and laidback, you can move at your own pace b/c we don't open that day. There was only one dog staff person today and I offered to help and I found myself out in the rain scooping mushy dog crap in the big kennels. (I'm usually on cat staff, they haven't put me in dogs yet). We have some pretty awesome dogs there, and alot of puppies. I'd love to have a dog, but not 'til we get our own place.

Speaking of living spaces, Jess came up with an idea for the upstairs that everyone liked: We have a room upstairs that we used to use as an office but now its a storage room, still has the huge wood desk and a few other humungous things so it'll be a big thing when we get around to getting everything cleared out so we can finish remodeling. We were talking about Jess and me moving up there to live, still paying rent but waaaaayy less than what we would be in an apartment. Next to that room is my brother's room but he wants to move downstairs. Sooo Jess suggested getting rid of the wall between the 2, thus giving us basically the whole upstairs, the only other room up there being the bathroom. I think this living arrangement would be our best bet, so we can save up for a house way faster and maybe actually have some stashed for a wedding in the next year or two.
