(no subject)
I have been working like a crazy person to pay for the time I took off for my birthday. It's kept me busy, but in a good way. I have been flying up and down the West Coast and almost comletely across the US. I just wish I had some more Vancouver, BC overnights. The food up there is SO good.
Today I am going to make some mustard greens with ham bones and creamed corn cornbread. I am VERY excited about these two things. A new friend of mine and an old friend of Alex' are having a dinner party and she is making meatloaf. I LOVE meatloaf. I am sure it is going to be delicious!
Have to get the house straightened up though. I just LOVE coming home to a mess and spending my days off making it semi-habitable. :/ Alex has been working this past week so I don't blame him for the mess. Alex has had more work in the past 2 months than he did the ENTIRE summer. It's crazy how artistic jobs truly are 'feast or famine'.
Today I have to get the house cleaned up, I just wish CERTAIN people would learn that sweeping won't kill them. But, oh, that's right, it's not HIS problem. Big surprise there. I'm not wanted here, but that doesn't stop him from feeling like it is MY responsibility to keep the place neat. Such a complete and utter fantasy world he lives in. Must be nice. Grr...
