I Support It, But I'm NOT 4 It
I was reading everybody's Live Journals last night and I read Gretchen's about marriage... so you know me, I had to get my 2 cents in...
GAY MARRIAGE IS WRONG!~!~!
as long as we're on the subject...
being in general is WRONG!
I'm NOT a homophobic, I'm a Christian, and the Bible says that...
"Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman, that is detestable." - Leviticus 18:27
"If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to ; their is on their own heads." - Leviticus 20:13
These are only a few verses that I found offhand, I'm sure that there are MANY more..
Also, there's the simple fact that it just wasn't meant to be!!!! God made men and women in his own image... In fact, He made the first woman, Eve out of Adam...
"... while he was sleeping, He took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, 'this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman for she was taken out of man.' For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh." - Genesis 2:21-24
If you look at the end part, it explains how its supposed to work~ A man will leave his family to be united with his wife, and they will become one flesh. That's the way it was meant to be!!!
Don't you think if two men were supposed to be together, or two women were supposed to be together, it would have started that way? That it wouldn't have been called detestable?
And for you non-Christians
If two poeple of the same are supposed to be together, why can't they reproduce? If this is such a natural thing, why isn't this possible. IF EVERYONE WAS LIFE WOULD END!
And, if people are supposed to be , then why does it seem like they are trying to be straight...
I know that sounds crazy- but think about it... In couples, let's say two guys, there always seems to be the masculine guy and the effeminate one. The same thing si true for s, there is always the more masculine and the more feminine one.
Why do they keep morphing into the male-female relationship, if these same-sex relationships are supposed to happen???
I could go on and on and on... there are soooo many more reasons why it's simply not meant to be! But I have a feeling I'm boring you...
Get something straight though...
I may not support same-sex relationships or marriages, but I support the people who are invovled in them. I have / friends and just because I don't think what they're doing is right, doesn't mean I love them any less.
