The Magic Box

Into the box I will put every lonely thought.
Into the box I will put all that I know.
Into the box I will put my hateful recalcitrance.
Into the box I will place every idle wish.

Into the box I will put that look on your face.
Into the box I will put the painful reminders of you.
Into the box I will put a bitter after-taste.
Into the box I will throw my lost agony.

Into the box I will hide what I remember of you.
Into the box I will leave your wasted time.
Into the box I will shut your voice of reason.
Into the box I will force my negligent regrets.

Into the box I will seal the last of my hope.
Into the box I will seal the chance of redemption.
Into the box I will seal the path to my heart.
Into the box I will seal the essence of my soul.

I will, within this box, relinquish the rest of me.
