Feste
So it turns out we're staging the play in 1890, not 1590. Which disappointed me slightly. My music still has not come in.
My costume is sooooooo awesome! It's sort of... one could call it androgynous or sexually ambigious, I suppose. Whatever it is, it's utterly improper. :D
I'm wearing a man's black vest with tails, my arms are bare, and I'm wearing long white gloves that terminate at the figers. I have a cravat! My hair is supposedly going to be tied in a low ponytail at my neck. I'm wearing bloomers or pantalets, also black, such as would have been under a woman's skirt, but in this case they are visible because my skirt is strips of fabric from every other costume in the play, attached only at the waist. I don't know if they want me in stockings (hopefully they won't complain about the leg hair...) and I'm wearing character shoes.
I need a theme song for Feste! If anyone has any suggestions, please tell me! I looked a little at "Modern Major General" from The Pirates of Penzance, but it's not entirely doing it for me.
