So I was at school today, trying to help a Year 7 (age 11) pupil with basic maths. 29 + 34. Should be easy even for an 11 year old, right? Yeah. Except another teacher walked in, happened to look at the sheet.
Her response?
"I can't add things. I'd need a piece of paper to work it out on."
IT'S BASIC MATHS, YOU DUMB BINT! How can anyone not add 29 + 34 and still qualify as a teacher?!
Then I looked at the numeracy test that you have to take for teaching. Many people have to take it ten or more times because it's "SO INCREDIBLY HARD!"
Yeah. The entire thing is about fractions and percentages. AND YOU CAN USE A CALCULATOR!
If I failed that, I'd have to shoot myself (after making the gun with my incredible skills) for being such a thick shit.
