Hi! Aiba is hosting this year's FNS歌謡祭 and I'm excited since a lot of my favorite artists will perform! And since it starts at 1830 JST, I'll just make this post to waste my time. I promised myself back then to learn how to use livejournal after graduation, and it's been 6 months since then and I haven't learned anything. Anyways, here's an introductory post, i guess:
Name: Kath
Age: 20
Country: Philippines
I came to know this site when I was introduced to the Johnny's fandom. A lot of people put their work here, so yeah here I am. So here is my journey on how I got to whatever the heck this is:
- I started watching Korean Dramas when I was 17 when it got popular here in the Philippines.
- After watching 13 KDramas, I got bored with its repetition so I expanded my reached and tried other asian dramas.
- I watched a bunch of Thai and Taiwanese (mostly BL) dramas, and then I shifted to Japanese dramas which, unfortunately, there weren't that much of BL dramas but I got into something else. My first JDrama was Hana Kimi, and it got me hooked!
- Roaming around Youtube, it recommended me a video of a Japanese man struggling to count from 1 to 100; that man was Jimmy Onishi and that clip was from Gaki no Tsukai - and that's when I got hooked to Japanese comedy.
- I binge watched Gaki no Tsukai's No Laughing Game Batsu from the Onsen batsu in 2003 to the Scientist batsu in 2016. In one of the batsu games, an actor was presented as a guest. I honestly found him really cute, but I didn't looked his name up until my third watched of that batsu game.
- I google'd his name and it was Nakai Masahiro from the group SMAP. I looked up SMAP and they seemed really cute. I searched for their stuff on youtube and i expected a lot BUT THERE WEREN'T (also FNS already started fhshjdf)
- Although, I found one of their PV and it was Lion Heart. It was one of the most romantic songs that I've heard even though I can't understand Japanese! I fell into the youtube hole and watched every SMAP related videos from Shingo's weird ass costume change on bistro smap, and Nakai and Tsuyopon's calculative girl sketch.
- At this point, I still didn't know what Johnny's was until youtube recommended me a VSA compilation video of Nino (yes, I was Nino-baited.) I fell into another youtube hole, and that's how I discovered Arashi. I looked them up on google and saw that they are SMAP's kouhai. I didn't understand its implication until I saw that they belong to the same company - and that's how I got into the Johnny's fandom in general!
Here are the Johnny's group that I chose to stan (not in particular order, probably):
MAIN GROUPS:
- SMAP (yes, I know they've already disbanded but they've got a special place in my heart)
- KinKi Kids
- Arashi
OTHER GROUPS I CHOSE TO STAN:
- King & Prince
- SixTONES
- Kanjani8
- V6
- Johnny's WEST
- NEWS
- Tokio
- KAT-TUN
- ABC-Z
- Snow Man
I'm gonna be frank with y'all, some of them I chose to stan because of their personality that I've seen whenever they're in a variety show. Before I give them a shot, I need to watch an episode of their variety show in order to know them, and then give their music a listen.
I think that's it!
