The past week has been great...nothing but working out at the y, chillin with friends, and kickin' back. I applied to a bunch of stores the other day, but again, i definitely wouldn't mind if the rest of the summer goes exactly like how it's been so far.
I've definitely been catchin up on some movies since I've been home. We went to the midnight opening of Star Wars, which was freakin HILARIOUS because Mike and I decided to throw together costumes for some extra kicks. Laureen and I took some classic pics as Anakin and Leia before I left. But I think that I might have really scared Kelly when I met her with my costume bag and helmet in hand. Thank God that she and Nicole were able to see that it was just a joke, because we've all been able to hang out pretty much everyday since then. Bobby, those two, and I went out for dinner and a movie (and late-night bowling) on Friday. Note to everybody: If you have not seen the movie Crash, go do so a.s.a.p. That was the first time in quite awhile that I've become so enveloped in a movie. It'll open your eyes (wider) to a lot of things, too. The beach the next day was a blast, as well (Aside from getting completely thrashed by one wave and getting ice cold water dumped on me while i was buried and completely defenseless, haha). And I'm really starting to overcome my pigment deficiency, since Mike and I were able to go to the beach again yesterday. Then it was off to Skateland, where I ever so gracefully took Nicole out while trying to duck between her legs. My bad :) After church and shopping with the parentals on Sunday, I went to City Walk, where we terrorized Buca di Beppo and took just ridiculous amounts of crazy pictures.
I must say that I was very pleased with how my two must-see shows turned out. The nuclear bomb was struck down in 24 (big surprise, huh?), but the twist of Jack havig to fake his own death at the end was great. Then Carrie won American Idol. I'm still trying to figure out how she managed to beat Jesus though (just messin)!
Keep the fun comin'
