RiRi has relived her health dramas in video diary, Road To Talk That Talk...
Rihanna has revealed that while recording her hit album Talk That Talk last year, she suffered a breakdown.
The Where Have You Been singer addresses her stressful lifestyle in a new video diary, entitled Road To Talk That Talk, where she explains how she felt after being hospitalised in Sweden with exhaustion last November.
Speaking of the hard work that went into making Talk That Talk, RiRi confessed: "It was the best s**t ever, it was some rock star s**t. This is the craziest schedule I've ever been on in my entire life.
"One morning I woke up and started crying so hard. I finally just got to my bed from the IV [drip] and I was just like, 'Good I can actually get to sleep tonight', because we stayed up [all night' and I finished [the album] at 5pm the day before.
"So now, I'm like, 'One good night of rest.' I get in bed, and it must have been two hours in before my phone started going off."
RiRi continued: "I was so frustrated I kept ignoring the phone. Every time it would go off, but every time I would ignore it. But it would be another burden on my shoulders, 'cause I know it has to get done."
"I know [I was] sick, but I'm the only person who can get it done, so it was so frustrating, so I was angry. I was so angry, I was so overwhelmed that I was sick. It felt crazy."
She then recalled: "I started crying. I cried for 10 minutes really, really hard in my pillow. It was aggressive. I don't cry loads. If I cry it's because I'm very angry and I can't do anything about it, because I've run into a dead end.
"That's when the tears would come down. But this time I needed to hear it, I almost wanted to punch somebody."
The Bajan babe, who also hangs out with BFF Katy Perry in the clip, then added that despite her health woes, she's proud to have overcome the obstacles in order to finish her album.
She explained: "When I got the copies in my hand, it was so worth it. I would never take it back. At times I wished things could have been different and easier, but then I didn't really care when I got the album. The fact it was so difficult, the album feels so much better."
Rihanna's health also hit the headlines this week after she tweeted a picture of herself hooked up to a IV drip on 9th May, with reports claiming the We Found Love hitmaker is now 'on the mend' after reportedly suffering from the flu.
Gurl all you need is some Good weed and some white wine Claws out: Rihanna keeps Vogue editor waiting while her nails were painted
Anyone who’s seen The Devil Wears Prada knows it takes a very, very, VERY brave woman to cross Vogue boss Anna Wintour.
Rihanna faced the wrath of the mag editor after keeping her waiting for 40 minutes at the annual AAA-list studded Met Ball while her nails were painted.
Rihanna, 24, spent two hours in her Manhattan hotel suite having her two-inch talons buffed and preened as guests, including Beyonce, Kanye West, Kristen Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow dutifully swanned up the red carpet.
Ms Wintour, 106 , 62, made her grand entrance and, assuming everyone had arrived, had flunkies close the red carpet, so festivities could formally begin.
Then she was informed Rihanna was a no-show.
I’m told: “Rihanna planned to walk the carpet with everyone else but, sadly, her nails and manicurist took far longer than expected.
"Her chauffeur was told to drive around the block several times, as she made last-minute changes, but her ‘people’ didn’t warn organisers she’d be late.
“She missed her slot on the red carpet and left Anna in a frenzy. The pair had a heated conversation during the champagne reception.
"Rihanna will not be invited to any of her future events any time soon.”
The We Found Love star - who found anything but with Ms Wintour who inspired Meryl Streep’s character in the film - blamed her “claw-like” nails for the hold-up.
But she still found time to Tweet a photo of herself getting ready.
Bet that really impressed Anna.
it's one thing to piss off your pussy whipped ex flames but not Anna
