who would harm this face?
As one of the WWE’s most popular Superstars, John Cena has faced countless opponents in his career - but he tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that he’s got his eye on some very colorful competitors, the guys of Jersey Shore! “I think they’d be a cool group to invade Monday Night Raw,” he tells us. ”They have so much personality and are so unpredictable.”
But before he takes on America’s favorite guidos, Cena will be busy celebrating the release of his new movie Legendary, which hits theaters TOMORROW (Sept. 10.) He plays Mike Chetley, a man reunited with his estranged mother (Patricia Clarkson) when he has to help his younger brother (Devon Graye) get in shape to be on his high school wrestling team.
Cena tells us he was “emotionally moved” when he first read the script, and we can see why. Legendary looks like a serious tearjerker. It’s a real change of direction for Cena as an actor - especially if you compare it to 2006’s gun-fest The Marine - but it looks like it totally pays off. He says he learned so much watching co-stars Patricia and Danny Glover in action.
And even though he’d love to face “The Situation” in the ring, Cena says he WON’T be following him onto the dance floor - Dancing with the Stars is simply never going to be in his future. “My moves are so unorthodox,” he tells us. “It would be a very short-lived performance.”
OK, so as long as Cena is sticking to the ring, I’d LOVE to see him go head-to-head with any of the meatheads from Jersey Shore. Poor underdeveloped Vinny wouldn’t stand a chance, though. I’d pit him against everyone’s favorite pint-sized punching bag: Hornswaggle!
