i'm sorry, i dont really like wandering around rugby road looking for frat parties to go to. cory was talking about awesome, small group parties at tech and i am so jealous you dont even know. i would love to hang out and play drinking games at something like that, where i knew most of the people. huge parties just aren't my thing. ugh i hate

a) theres not many people anyone knows yet cause there have been very few club meetings and some classes havent been held
b) everyone is trying to impress everyone else (covers the dressing up and going to huge parties because theyre new)
give it a few more weeks and im pretty sure youll find a lot more sweatpants and fewer "OMG its the party of the YEAR down at Kappa Alpha Sigma Chi Xi Beta Pi Epsilon Zeta Omega's frat house"
plus, its college. i wore a polo shirt maybe twice since ive been here (which i wore at OL to begin with), the rest of the time t-shirt/soffees. no one really cares what you wear, and you would never be friends with someone who did anyway.
oh, and theres over 10,000 people here, less than 50% belonging to frats... theres small parties SOMEWHERE
my inferences could be wrong, but thats what im hoping will happen since ive had a few of those worries too and cant wait until some of my clubs start
anyway, of course its totally up to you, but think about what everyone else has said and reserve judgement for another month or two
