a very funny thing happened to me today that i felt i must share with the general public.
i was at the hickory flat library, trying to get on one of the computers to look up a book. i tried two computers, but niether would let me sign on, so i decided to ask the front desk for help. i started walking around the circular computer station, and i happened to glance at one of the computers being used by a boy that had to be no older then thirteen. i had to do a double take to confirm the most shocking yet hilarious thing that i had seen in quite a long time. (actually, since huey was giving mr. bancroft a massage today in pre-calc that he (huey) was enjoying WAY too much.). but anyway, my suspicions were confirmed when i saw that, in fact, this 12-year-old kid was looking at porn. on a public library computer. it took all my strength not to burst out laughing, because the library is so conservative, yet there was this little kid looking at a picture of a tan, scantily-clad blonde. i was half inclined to tattle on him to the librarian, or come up behind him and saying "getting a head start on your summer reading?". but i settled for laughing inwardly and posting it on a public forum. *shakes head*. you'd think one would reach a point where one would be immune to disbelieving people's actions. but alas, people never fail to surprise me.
