This chapter was definitely one of your best. You characterization of Kagura, and of her relationship with Miroku, is brilliant. I'm even more a fan of her now. The second of the half was agonizingly suspenseful. I hope you're not going to leave Kohaku dead. Can't that poor kid ever catch a break? And what about Jaken? Did he make it out or is he just a grease spot somewhere?

Anyway, sorry for the blather, I was just so excited to read an update. New FMA AND new OLS tonight! Woot!

I feel like I've got a bit better grasp of Kagura's personality now that I've written Lacuna; weird, that. Also, I can't take all the credit for Kagura in this chapter; Resmiranda was a big help in fine-tuning her :)

That story was nominated for best McKay/other at the Isis awards, isn't that fun?

I might do more, no idea... I have this ides for a weird unrequited McKay --> Ronan thing that has me somewhat alarmed. OTOH, I usually hate slash, but OTOH, I can't get this idea to go away. Woe.

You have totally made me believe in Kagura/Miroku, which I would have said was impossible before you started this story. Also, I think you've capture Kouga perfectly--yes, he really is smart enough to plan how to get Kagome away from an overwhelming force without attacking them, and then carry out the plan successfully. Yay, Kouga!
