Tis the season for a survey
1. Eggnog or Hot Chocolate? I like them both, but I won't be able to drink them anymore because they're too high in sugar.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree? Well, not Santa but my Mom and Dad and me and my sister and Valerie and her Kids, we all wrap gifts and put them under the tree. How could anyone not wrap gifts that would totally ruin the surprise.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I prefer colored lights, they're so pretty.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Yeah, we used to have a fake one, but I'm not sure if we still have it. I'll put some up if I see it in the store and buy it. After all, mistletoe is sacred to the druids.
5. When do you put your decorations up? We've already started putting them up, so I'd say just after Thanksgiving.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? I love yams and this cajun eggplant casserole that Valerie makes.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child: Waking up early and my sister and I would wake up our parents so we could all go down and open presents, and my dad would make us pancakes for breakfast.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? Well, I can't remember how old I was, but our friends that were a few years older than us told us that Santa is really our parents, and since that point my sister and I would search the house for our presents because they were hidden, and we would always find them.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? We were always allowed to open one thing from our stockings and one small thing from under the tree on Christmas Eve.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? We have these large colorful glass balls, and all sorts of ornaments, some of them are even older than I am. We have a few brass precious moments ones, one for my parents wedding year, and one for when I was born, and it's engraved.
12. Can you ice skate? Yes, I used to be very good at it. I used to want to be on a figure skating or speed skating team but for some reason I never pursued it, and I haven't skated in a long time so I'm not sure how good I am at it now.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Well, I can't think of any one that's my absolute favorite, though I remember getting my first 10 speed bike and my first tv, and those were very exciting gifts, and more recently I got a nintendo gamecube and a 19 inch tv/vcr combo, and I loved those as well.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Having fun, christmas music, christmas movies, being together with family, and giving and receiving gifts.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Gingerbread cookies. I make a gingerbread house for christmas every year, it's so much fun.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Making a gingerbread house.
17. What tops your tree? We have this nice angel in a red velvet and gold dress with gold wings, she's pretty.
18. Which do you prefer? Giving or receiving? Well, I honestly enjoy both.
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Hmmm....I like a lot of them. I like Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, Angels We Have Heard on High, Greensleeves or it's alternate What Child is This, John Lennon's Happy Christmas, a ton of hilarious Christmas parody songs...I could go on forever.
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? I love candy canes.
