what goes around doesnt always come around

Seeing as I was done with classes for the day at 9am, I decided to do my laundry. However only 2 washers are working and they both had clothes in them that were done. I waited and came back at 1pm to check but the same clothes were still there. So I put them in a dryer with a couple dryer sheets and turned it on. That way I had an open dryer and this person's clothes wouldnt smell.

I set my alarm so I would know when my clothes were done. Well when the alarm went off I went to check my clothes and two guys were standing over my washer about to pour more soap on my clothes. When I walked in one of them said to me "oh theres are yours?" Then they both left.

I took my clothes out of the washer and couldnt find an empty dryer so I took out the clothes that were done in one and folded them. I left them on top of the dryer and put my clothes in. Again I set my alarm. When I came back to get them I found them still wet sitting on the floor, cuz apparently someone else ran into my problem. Thankfully when I rewashed them no one touched them.

My question is , is it even worth being nice anymore? or was it rude of me to even take out other peoples clothes?
