Of course, I have differing levels of fluency in these things. But these are things that I never even thought I'd be interested in until I started working with them last year. Given a fresh Linux computer and an internet connection, I could have a rudimentary website active in about 10 minutes. I don't know why I become so obsessed in these things. Today I wrote my first web application, a counter for Haverford's Spring Plenary that shows the number of people at plenary and the percentage of quorum we have. It's pretty basic PHP and MySQL, but it gets me excited for future projects. What a great hobby. I'm such a dork.
