There are times when you feel like it is over… when you feel like everything you have been through TOGETHER meant nothing …you cry in the dark hoping for someone’s hand to hold, for someone’s HEART to be beating against yours, for a WARMTH of another body engulfing your SOUL.
You think of all the times you he said I love you and how you felt when
he said your name. And when you feel an arm wrap around your body and a
palm touch your own you don’t have to look to see who it is all you
have to do is hear theHEARTBEAT of his, to know he is your one and only LOVE.
You had been best friends for as long as you can remember, but today he
looked different, he didn’t look like the kid who you had, had thumb
wars with and played capture the flag with until it was almost 11 at
night. Today he looked like a man not a boy, with dirt in his hair and
scuffs on his knees, today he had a glimmer in his eyes and a shine to
his normally plain hair. He was handsome and you just couldn’t help but
stare. and when you thought about it you realized he was what you were
looking for, a friend, handsome and always there, someone YOU COULD SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH.
Someone you could play capture the flag with until 11 o’clock at night
with. You have to wait for someone who cares, who takes care of you
when you are sick, who watches over you when you are afraid, who
catches you when you fall, and HUGS
you when you are cold. A guy that will carry you home from a late
party, and not care that you fell asleep in the car ride home. A guy
that would feel just as good HOLDING YOUR HANDS
as he would making out. A guy that lets you use his chest as a pillow
when you fall asleep watching TV on the couch. A Guy that gives you his
coat when you are cold, and lets youcry on
his shoulder while he rubs your back. And a guy that plays with your
hair, and helps you put on your jewelry when you are running late, a
guy that will let you win any argument, even when he knows you are
wrong, a guy who knows you LOVE him even when you fall asleep before you say it. A guy that is always going to be there and a guy that you know you LOVE too.
