The last week of 2010 was spent getting things back in order and child birth class. On Monday I did the gym and groceries..possibly my last gym trip before Marley gets here. Tuesday and Wednesday was child birth class. It was good but tiring, didn't do enough on breathing exercises, but it suffciently scared me..lol. Thursday was the last day of week for us and we got out early. It was a gorgeous day so I went and met Kat and Aiden for a walk with Keeper. Friday I relaxed at home, got some packages out, then went with KAt to have dinner at her family's home in Waikane VAlley. What a wonderful family home and family she has. I really enjoyed sitting aroudn talking story and eating some good food with them- although they were tempting me with poke and raw smoked ahi...oh I wish. Afterward Kat and Aiden came to hang out for a bit, but as they were about to leave Kat started having a severe reaction to the sulfur in the air from all of the fireworks. POur thing started reacting right away. I gave her my inhaler, but she needed to go home and get her medicine. So I followed her and Aiden the few miles to her house, watching all the cool fireworks off the makakilo hills. At KAt's place she took her medicine, I put Aiden to bed, and we sat up and talked with her epipen in hand just in case it started getting worse. We weren't sure if we shoudl go to the hospital or not so we had to keep a good watch of her lungs. Luckily have a little rollercoaster up and down it did start getting better :) Phew.. thank goodness. We ended up staying up until about 1 am, so by the time I got in I was exhausted.
Woke up to 2011 with John calling to say happy anniversary. Then after straightening up I met up with Kat and we went over to Pokai Bay. We had fun playing in the water wiht Aiden, and met up with another woman from the troop and her daughter. After the beach I dropped off Kat and Aiden and Sunday I did nothing at all..it was fantastic. Just cleaned, updated LJ, and FB. and hung out.
Last week was an easier week at work, got to Whole Foods to stock the freezer with organic meat. Did yoga and swam twice. Watched too much tv (but that is every week) STopped at Candace's to meet her hubby and get a lot of wonderful things she bought for Marguerite. Friday I had a doctor's appointment and found out Marguerite is breached. I am only 35/36 weeks so there is time for her to flip, but if she does not I will most likely have to get a c-sectiona round the 4th of February. So now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed she flips, and gonna do some yoga exercises to try and help her out, lol. Friday evening Kat and Rachel came over. Rachel cooked some really good food, and we celebrated her getting a job with Kam schools :) How exciting, they are a great school. It was good hanging out with them, and I wasn't feeling any of the annoyance towards Rachel I have expressed in the past so maybe I got it out of my system here, and now I can move on :)
Saturday I cleaned the house and made spinach balls. Then I went over Kat's house for game night. WE met with Naomi and Rachel, ate spam musubi, develed eggs, spinach balls, and veggies, and played Wise or Otherwise. Good times :) Afterward I dropped Rachel off at the bus stop and really enjoyed hanging out and talking with her.
SUnday I volunteered to go with Kat to the windward side so she could visit her Grandmother's grave. I chased Aiden around for abit while she talked to her, then we went up to Kahana Bay to relax at the beach. I ended up spending a lot of time playing with Aiden in the water, but eventually hew as getting cold and we had to get going. We drove around the North shore of the Island, stopping around Pipeline to check out some pretty cool surf..waves were probably over 6 feet and coming from all directions. Then we went to Haliewa Eats for thai food, and Matsumotos for Shave Ice. Unfortunately, a woman at the shave ice place was really rude and mean to aiden when he accidently spit in her direction. KAt stood up for her little boy, but the woman just had a gripe to bare and didn't care that she was screaming at a five year old who is blind in one eye for not seeing her when he spit. Stupid lady..so people won't every try to see things from your point of view. BEtter to just let them go.... So we did, but as we left he line a couple of guys at the front, who overhead the confrontation offered to let us get in line with her. It was so sweet, KAt and I were both overwhelmed by their kindness.
This week has so far been good except MArguerite is definitely getting more difficult to carry. I'm 36 weeks tomorrow, and am starting to feel the urgency to not be pregnant..lol. I feel blessed to have gotten this far without feeling that way. Over the weekend I allowed myself to have caffeniated coffee to help her flip..but to no luck. This morning I thought maybe over last night, but right now I'm feeling her move around and I'm pretty sure I feel her head in the same place, upper right hand corner ofmy stomach. My back and hips are starting to hurt more, and I'm getting really weird pain when I walk sometimes. And I'm pretty sure I got my first two contractions today, they felt sort of like gas pain in my stomach balled up in a fist and then releasing. They were painful but didn't last long. I really would love to give birth to my daughter naturally so I hope it works out. I've been a little cranky in the mornign at work, but only because I'm not sleeping, and we have no money to pay our suppliers and its stressful. That and my boss is stressed out, which stresses me out, and our superintendent is acting shady about some drug test results.
Well that brings me current..one thing to cross of the January to do list. Let's see how long I can keep it up. Now that we are in 2011 I am in my 9th year of keeping a livejournal. Crazy, since my life has definitely changed ALOT in 9 years.
