So I'm going to update, since I'm almost 2/3 of the way through July and haven't touched June.
Let's see June 1-13 we were on vacation in NY and NJ. June 1 we headed down to the lake to stay with Carolyn, Tim, my parents, and the Liams. The first day was tough because John and I had to rush out to find a starbucks and Wifi so I could run payroll and catch up on work for a few hours. Afterward we met the family at Fuddruckers for burgers and $1.00 beers :) Later that night we picked up some things at Target. Once we got home we put Liam in his new bouncer to see him enjoy it, then played games with Care and Tim and shared some wine. The next day Care and Tim left, and my Mom was watching Liam. We went for a walk with them, then I wanted to go out in the boat, but John was too tired...so we came back home for him to nap and to rest a little. My aunt Katy and aunt Lori came down to see us and see LIam, which was fun to catch up on, then my Mom, Care, John, Liam, and I headed up to more central Jersey to meet one of my mother's old friends from grade school Crazy how Facebook can bring people together and reconnect them :) From there John and I drove up to my Aunt's house in New Jerse. We caught my Aunt Maren for a little while, talked to her about things, then got a few hours of sleep before having to wake up at 2:00 am to leave for the airport.
WE arrived in Buffalo around 7:30. I honestly started feeling strange almost the moment we hit ground in Buffalo. I had to pee so bad when the plane landed, I actually used the plane bathroom before getting off, then went again when we got off. We met up with Rachel and took her out to eat, but I ended up getting sick at the restaurant. I figured it was a couple of things...traveling, Rachel's car being bumpy and making me nauseous, and Rachel having a really disgusting airfreshner in her car (she has an issue with smells..it like she doesn't notice them when they are overpowering...) WE dropped Rachel at work and used her car to go back to Dad and Gerry's and take a much needed nap. Then we woke up and talked to Gerry for a little while, then left to go pick up Rachel from the library. After we picked her up we stopped at Elmwood tacos to get her something to eat. I was trying to order something, but she kept talking over me...it was really really frustrating. In the end her order was right and mine was wrong..I was ready to kill her (this is the woman who is coming to live with me tomorrow!) So whatever, thetaco was a snack anyway. We met up with Dad and Gerry at Duff's a little wings and sports bar in Dupew, that Obama stopped at on his visit to Buffalo. WE got microbrews, and hot wings, and spent time catching up with everyone. Later we headed home and watched New Moon with Rachel, then bed.
The next day we woke up late. John spent much of the day helping his day with a project, and Ispent the day talking with Gerry and reading. Later in the evening we went sailing on Lake Erie with Dad and Gerry's friends. It wasn't a very breezy day, and I was a bit nauseous, but It was very pretty and we got a cool view of the city. On the way home we passed this crazy huge country concert downtown, that we could actually here from the sailboat. Then we met up with Dad and Gerry's friends back at their house for food and wine. We tried some wine we sent Gerry for her birthday, it was good, but very strong.
On Saturday we went hiking with Rachel in the Erie Forest. I got frustrated once again. Rachel kinda keep insisting on being in front of the group, but she walks really really slow in front, and sometimes she stops, like she forgets she's doing something. So I decided to try to take the lead. Only to have Rachel walk on my heals, and constanly swing her arms in my way. It was so irritating, to the point where I basically started speed walking ahead of them both at points. I think she knew what she was doing, and she was trying to annoy me, but John says she really is taht oblivious to her surroundings...who knows. It was irritating...should't be reliving it now, because she will be here tomorrow, but oh well. The actual hike was short, but very pretty, there were really tall trees and everything was green. We even saw a pretty big deer close up. After the hike we went to Teddy's for hotdogs, and I tried to fele better about Rachel, but all she wanted to talk about was her "big adventure" moving to Hawaii. I kinda think she is a very selfish person, but she doesn't realize she is so....she just doesn't get it really. which is sad, and should honestly make me feel bad, but I just get so frustrated. I'm a little nervous about her coming, but I already put my foot down a few times, and I may just have to speak my mind, and her get her to wake up to surroundings once in a while...hopefully. Anywho, after the day with Rachel with met up with Dad and Gerry and Carissa and Tyler back at their house :) We went out to grab some things at WEgmans, and picked up some movies we thought everyone would watch. When we got home we didn't end up watching movies, but hung out by the fire with Carissa, Tyler, Dad, Gerry, and their neighbors..it was a very nice evening. I also took my first pregnancy test that evening and it came out positive! We didn't tell anyone, because we wanted to be sure, but I had to do it so I knew if I could drink or not.
