I'm am a rock, I am an island

Why hello.
Today I was thinking about the substance of my updates. I could do the whole "how my day went" like brandon does. Or weird thoughts as many people do. I'm not quite sure what I want to do on this journal. So be prepared for oddities.

now for my real subject.
my friend marcos gave a bible devo today. He did very well. He started with Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.
"To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace."

God has a time-line of our lives, and has everything planned out for us if we submit to it, and He makes living easier through submission. He then had us flip to James 1:2-3
"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience."

If you think about it, God has a Christian's life planned out, so He plans the trials as tests to show people where they're faith is, and where they need to grow. That couple with this timeline idea, makes things very interesting. God is outside of time, so He's not bound by past now and future. So He's got a full view of the time-line. So when He tells you to wait, it's because He can see something you can't. Believe me, I know it's hard to obey when He tells you to wait. That's the hardest answer to prayer to get and understand. That's where faith comes in. Trust He knows all, and cares about you, and trust He's powerful enough to do the seemingly impossible in your life. Also you have to submit to what He tells you to do, because it's all part of the plan. I hope that made some sense.

I actually won a bowling game against Daniel J. I'm happy about that. ^_^ and I bowled high again. I don't exactly remember the score though. heh. oh well, the best thing is that I did well against one of the best bowlers I know.
I'm in the doghouse with max again. *sigh*
