Hey Guys! It's been quite awhile...
This summer is just absolutely wonderful. I cannot describe it any other way. Everyday is like a dream, sometimes a nightmare. haha.
My job is anything but easy. Trying to balance being a boss and a friend is probably one of the hardest challenges I've ever had to deal with. I'm actually beginning to find that happy medium which is a relief. Being a hostess is hard work, especially when I get crap from the office, the waitstaff, the guests, and the kitchen. I'm like the scapegoat for all the problems. This week is the most important week of the summer and I am nothing but stressed lately. Things are getting better, though.
Some days I just want to quit. Something always keeps me coming back though. Many of my old friends no longer work at tusc, but that never stops me. I'm always learning something and growing in character. I am so absolutely blessed to be a counselor. I love hanging out with the girls and having the opportunity to listen to their thoughts and feelings. That's my favorite part about the summer. It's such an amazing feeling to know that when one of the girls is upset or distressed, I'm the one they come to for advice. I know that God is totally working through every summer staffer and I am so happy that he is using me to get through to them.
For the first time in 2 years I'm learning to forgive myself for past regrets. God has a purpose and a plan and everything happens for a reason. My life is being turned upside down and everything I used to know and believe is radically changing. I'm finally learning what it's like to live and feel again. Everything is wonderful.
