thanksgiving is sweet
well the thanksgiving break was awesome, whoever put this holiday on a thursday was a smart person. unlike those other holidays that are on mondays or fridays, this one is on thursday which gives everyone the day off on friday giving a four day weekend instead of 3. plus a lot of professors figure they might as well give us the wednesday off also. you gotta love that. the break was great. i got to hang with some of my best buddies from home. the turkey day was great, and one of my favorite things about thanksgiving is the leftover turkey for sandwiches the next few days afterwards. the turkey is one helluva bird. i also got to hang out with my mom during the biggest shopping day of the year at the mall. and i got to fish and golf with my dad. my dad and i went out to sykes creek, which is where i fished all summer, and except for the fact that it was a tad bit nipply, i was reminded of the great past summer. it was one great fishing trip, and i was incredibly relaxed, i even fell asleep for a couple of minutes til a fish tuggin on my line woke me up. of course i wasnt able to land it, but my dad and i did land some quality fish including a red and a couple trout. we also caught a few big catfish. the golf went well and i was able to play bogey golf. i was glad considering i hadnt golfed in a while. the fsu game sucked but i'll go ahead and not talk about it. the good thing about it was i was able to hang out with my buddy james and his family. i also hung out with the balls and was handed over a copy of the great movie 'el queefo' we made this past summer. i am now back to the grind of school and this week will be a bit hectic just for design class. which if i keep up on it will not be that bad on sunday the day before out jury on our final project. i am scared of the presentation, but i figure im gonna have to get over it. the good news is that after that monday, design 3 will be done. that will a very happy occasion. sunday night i was able to get back and got some good work done. even though towards the end i was getting pretty damn pissed so i figured i should stop, and it was probably a good idea since it was 5 in the morning. and earlier this evening i got a lot done and i feel good about the project. i was able to squeeze in monday night football at ramans with dave and it was very fun. as much fun as thanksgiving was and being home, it was still good to hang with some of my buddies here. it was good, but in the last hour i was home, it was the first time i really wanted to stay there and was not anxious to get back up to gainesville. but its all good now, its two completely different worlds and its getting easier and easier to adapt to the change each time you come back up from a break at home. things are goin good though, i plan on doing some good work tomorrow allowing for me to do not too much on wednesday so i can hit up the basketball court. we are getting ready for intramurals and our team is apparently looking pretty good, i dont know enough about basketball but my teammates are feeling really confident about it, so i guess i should be also. signing off its off to bed, later
