Hatching a Plan...
So I asked Randie for my Christmas present to be a plane ticket to Illinois to see my family. Which is awesome. And I think she'll go for it. Because she asked me the name of the city I fly into and everything there. So I'm thinking...whenever this happens, I could probably go see Barbi and Steph in Indiana.
Here's my plan...
If I'm there for a week, I could see if Amber wants to come with me to Kokomo to see them. I could pick her up in Indianapolis if she wanted me to, and I'd really only be going for a couple of days. It would be totally worth it to drive there for a day or something and hang out. It's a 5 hour drive from Galesburg to Kokomo, not something I couldn't do in a day. If I went there in the morning of one day I could be there in the early afternoon and hang out all that day and the next day. Then I could leave either late that second day or in the morning on the third day, then be back in Galesburg for the last half of that third day. That would still give me like 4 days with the family, assuming I'd be there for a week.
So I could get there, hang out for a day or two, leave for two days, come back, and hang out the rest of the time. Ashlee's going to be in school anyway, so she won't miss me so terribly. Art was too busy to see me much last time, so he wouldn't miss me much as long as I ate with him four or five times while I was there.
And Barbi and Steph would REALLY appreciate seeing me, I know. I can't imagine anyone else from here is rushing to Indiana to visit. This could work, assuming I get the ticket and I'm there long enough for the drive to be worth it. And assuming I could get Grandma to lend me her car. That would be a BIG factor. If not, I'd have to see if Amber could come get me, take me, then take me back, which would be a HUGE waste of time for her. And I'd have to reimburse her for her effort and gas, obviously. Hmm. I wonder if this coulud work...Really.
