In the midst of the chaos, I needed to get on here and send a note of thanks to the best sister in the world! Thank you, Anna!
As the year 2006 came into view and all of my friends were hitting their big 30 I found it exciting, looking forward to the new adventures and journey's. As my turn came around, it was just another day. I kept waiting for the anticipation, like the turning 21 excitement, but it wasn't happening.
Then the day came and my beautiful sister had ventured all the way from VA to take me out to eat, Tom was lined up to watch the kids. :) About ten minutes before we were to leave my head started to hurt, so I took two Advil and tried to relax. We were off...into the Annapolis/Baltimore traffic and Anna's driving in the Mini (j/k...she is a great driver, now matter how smooth the ride I could feel my stomach flipping and turning with every stop/go, stop/go motion, not to mention that the pain in my head was making it's way to a full blown migraine! nausea and all). The whole drive up I was praying, I felt ill and felt so bad that my sister had come all this way to take me out to eat and here I was, on the verge of puking in her car.
Needless to say, we were about forty minutes late, I was just thankful to be out of the car and in the fresh air, still praying that I would feel better and not ruin this night with Anna.
As we head to our table, turn the corner, there sit three of my friends from middle and high school...what an awesome surprise!!! Anna...your the best! :) It was fantastic, so good to see them! We ate at the Melting Pot (excellent food and a great place to eat and enjoy good company!).
A glass of wine later the headache was fading...the best birthday yet!
Not only did she take the time to make my day fantastic, she was such a great help with the kids!!! She spoiled me!!! It was like having a live-in Nanny!!
Thank you Anna for making this week the best I have had in a long time!!! I thank God always for you! Not just because you spoil me ;) but because of your beauty and light you shine for Him! You are a joy and blessing to all of us, may all of the kindness you give to others find it's way back to you..and then some!
