Barry and I have decided that we are going to make one BIG trip before we have kids. So, we have decided to take a 2 week vaca to Britain in September 2013. I know, 3 years seems like a LONG way away... but it will take us that long to save up the money. We have been researching it, and we can at least stay with his sister a couple of nights. I'm going to ALL of the Jane Austen spots in the UK... yes, including ones from the Keira Knightley movie. Dork. I love it, though. I think we'll take a week-long guided tour then use the rest of the time to do some personal exploring. I'm already getting really excited. We have so long to plan it that I think we can have a PERFECT vacation. Itinerary will include:
London (Tower, Big Ben, Harrod's, Buckingham, ) *I will think of Harry Potter the whole time; I'm sure of it*
Stratford-upon-Avon (SHAKESPEARE)
Several villages and castles/mansions and cathedrals (including those seen in Pride and Prejudice)
Stonehenge
Hampshire (Jane Austen)
And possibly a quick trip to Ireland
I don't know if I can hold out 3 years. Maybe I can talk Barry into going sooner if I save up the money.
Any suggestions? I wish Hogwart's was a real place.
