Yay! I think researching fluorescent mice would be much more fun and probably less depressing than my current child abuse research. I think your advice is quite sound.

Congrats on the researchy awesomeness! Speaking of mice, I officially learned the proper handling and restraint of mice for veterinary purposes the other day. Is it the same for glowing mice I wonder? These were creepy white pink-eyed mice, but they were not glowing.

yeah, I bet it's the same! scruff their whole body til they look like little mousey sausages with tiny flailing useless limbs? mouse skin is nifty, how you can move tummy skin all the way around to the back and they don't mind. And I bet they had you working with the white ones because they're friendlier... everyone in lab says the darker the coat, the nastier the mouse, and I've only gotten bitten by black mice.

Yep, that's the way! And they did mention that white mice are friendlier. We also played with white rats, white guinea pigs, and very large white rabbits. Yay for cuddly lab animals.
