Well, this weekend was interesting for sure.
Friday: I went to the doctor in the morning to find out that he wasn't going to give me antibiotics because he says my sore throat and sinus infection is viral. Okay, well the fact that I still have one now and it's MONDAY might say something about that theory. Plus, I asked him about my eye so he ran a couple tests and said that I have pink-eye. It was weird though because they were really bloodshot and watered and drained a lot, but they never got itchy or burned. A good thing, I guess.
Then, after work, Bret picked me up and we went to his place. We got lunch and started tailgating for the big game. Not really tailgating, just sort of sitting around watching TV and enjoying the festivities. Finally more people started coming and eventually my roommates came. After a ton of pictures, some music, friends, and Miller Lite, we headed over to the game. It was a cold one, but the walk wasn't that bad this time. We get to the stadium, I lose my friends, and finally find Josh and then find my way into the game. Well, just about this time, it starts raining. Now when I say raining-- I mean pouring! So it's now 30 degress outside, pouring this cold rain, and about 20 minutes until kick-off in the biggest football game of the season.
So the game starts, Central scores within the first 2 minutes-- followed by Western scoring, BUT, that was the only 7 point they would score all game. Central victory 31-7. HOWEVER, I heard about the rest of the game because Bret and I left by the end of the first quarter. I was already sick and even though we were bundled up, it didn't help once we were wet. So we get back, warmed up, took a shower, and I didn't move out of my sweatpants the rest of the night. Watched TV and I was sleeping by midnight. How's that for game night of Central Western weekend??
Saturday: Saturday was mostly relaxing. We slept in, had pancakes with Tiffany and Courtney, and just pretty much sat around all day. There were really good movies on TV, got some reading done for classes, and taught Tiff how to play Euchre. Once evening fell, Ash, Tiff, and I went out on a little girls escapade. We went over to Ashley's friend Alex's house to say hi to him for a little while. After that, we went over to Jameson's to say hi to him for his 21st birthday-- which is today. We had a really good time and never left Tallgrass once. The boys-- Bret and Kyle-- stayed home and played video games. =)
Sunday: Sunday was another really relaxing day. I should have went to church but before going to bed I totally forgot to set the alarm and didn't wake up until 10 minutes before the service =( Got up, had breakfast/lunch with everyone and watched football and did homework.
I love weekends like this where we can just relax. However, it will probably come back to bite me in the butt once all my tests come this week that I probably should have been studying a little bit more for instead of watching so much football. Anyway, I am going to drink the rest of my coffee and finish up some things before getting some work done. Thanks everyone (especially Bret-- I love you) for a fabulous weekend!! Muah!
