How is it that you manage to write this awesome fic just as I finish the last episode of Brotherhood? How?

You did? Awesome!!! I haven't seen Brotherhood yet, but the past three weeks for me have involved blowing through the manga and the first anime in record time (my next FMA fic is going to be a shameless parody of Conqueror of Shamballa, which I liked very much but also found rather ridiculous- there will be many Nazi jokes to be had). Part of my writing this was my attempt to get my canons straightened out after finishing the first anime and remind myself what happened in the better of the two endings.
I'm a bit FMA'd out at the moment and have school work to do, but I will definitely be watching Brotherhood soon- even from the 1/2 episode I watched, I could tell it blew the first anime out of the water. And I love that the English dub has almost all the same actors, because they're all wonderful. <3
But kudos for being my first reader, and super-duper-double kudos for wibbling over it!

Okay, yes, you've touched on so many things that I'd figured would happen with Al in the hospital, that you've managed to keep the brothers in character with out turning the maudlin, and given us the info that Mustang's got his sight back, and that the others are in this hospital, and probably healing as well.

As to the maudlin thing...yeah, it's kind of a fine line to walk between a realistic reaction to traumatic events and taking it too far, and one that makes me cringe in several of the FMA fics I've read . I was definitely worried about that getting that right for this fic, so thank you very much! :)

first of all, I am sooo glad you had this kind or reaction and not any other^^ it was a real pleasure drawing it and if it was your first contribution to the fandom, I can't wait to see your future stuff^^ if you ever decide to write for it again that is^^ you don't have to worry about characterisation at all, I think you got both of them spot on. it's true that you're showing a little more angsty side of Al, but damn, the kid just got his body back after 5 years without it, thought he would be able to finally be with people and they still lock him in isolated room>< anyone would break down crying ;_;

you described that scene very well so it was no problem setting everything up^^ Al's body was a little painful because drawing such a skinny body makes you cringe>< it took a great effort to not look at poor african children and just study a skeleton>< but I'm happy it gave the effect you wanted to get
