I'd like to thank everyone for supporting me through my recent bout of sex addiction.
Wait a second!?! I don't have a sexual addiction (Or if I do, I'm doing a great job of controling it).
I'm actually back in Jacksonville and only a full month after every other normal college got out. I had a great term though. The last few nights were a little rough.
I'll work backwards.
Today: I woke up. That's pretty much it. Oh, and I'm doing this. I will be going to trivia later.
Wednesday: I managed to wake up again. I made breakfast for Ed and Jen, two very cool people from Furman who stayed at my house on their way to Sarasota and Tampa, respectivly. I'm gonna try and make breakfast for myself every morning (since a dining hall meal at Furman is 6 bucks). I can easily do scrambled eggs, bacon and toast but I might get a little bored. I figure if I can get 10 good meals (including cereal and oatmeal and other boring things) I should be ok.
Tuesday: Got up 8:30. Stax for breakfast, rope swing into freezing cold water, pack up the car, pack Ed (what a bum), hit the road at 2. All in all a quality start. Granted I was hoping to get away at 10:30, or 12 at the latest but fun was had. Things were going well until I got near the border of South Carolina-Georgia (I blame Georgia) and we literally came to a dead stop.
This wasn't traffic. It was a parking lot. Just to illustrate how much we were stopped, Jen who was in her car behind me, got off at an exit, went to the bathroom, got back on the interstate, and was in front of me. Eventually we did a little back road exploring, and road I-16 farther up 95. Probably, the worst traffic I've ever been in.
We did make it to Jacksonville, the plan (the re-adjusted plan for 2 pm leaving) was to arrive at 8, eat some dinner at my house, and get to trivia at 9 or so. We didn't get to my house until 9:45 but the good news is that it took us so long to get there my Dad just kept making food. It was probably the best homecooked meal I'd ever had. I'm talking filets, a pork roast, grilled corn and veggies, mashed potatoes and other just plain good food. It probably wasn't even the quality of the food as much as I was starving and would have eaten my shoe but I was still happy.
From there to the Casbah, met back up with Russell, Adam and Chris. Always a good time, even though the Strawberry hookah was pretty bitter. Ed and Jen really liked the crew, which was good cause I a little nervous (just becuase, you know, not everyday you get to meet an awesomely elitest loud asshole and like em, much less three. But they did so I was happy.
