This sucks

I just got back from the vet. I had to go and have my dog Chief put down. I got that mutt when he was 8 weeks old and I am pretty tore up right now. He hadn't been eating and for the last few days couldn't even lay down because he couldn't breathe if he wasn't standing up. It was time but it still sucks major ass. Two things i realized while I was at the office were that my sense of humor was still intact and Chief was going to love me no matter what. I looked at him right before they came in to do the shots and said, "You will definitely never want to go to the vet's office again, will ya?" He just gave a weak wag of his tail and nuzzled me like he always would. I couldn't stay in the room while they gave him the injections so i went outside to try and compose myself. My sister and her husband came out after it was over and we were just talking trying to make each other feel better when a man came walking by with 2 kids and 2 greyhounds, as they headed into the office i said under my breath, "Don't take your dogs in there, they'll kill 'em." He didn't hear me, but Don and my sister did and we got quite a good laugh over that.

Anyhow, this is a shitty day for me and i thought i would inflict upon all of those on my Flist.
