So my Grandpa gave me a rosary in this silver box thing for Christmas.

I was just looking at it for the first time since he gave it to me and it's really cool. On the back it says "Terra Catacumba Roma" and I looked it up and it means "Land from the Catacombs of Rome" and on the website I found it shows that some rosarys have a little bit of dirt from the catacombs on the crucifix. So I looked at mine, where it appeared on the rosary in the picture, and mine does too!!!

The box looks like a book and says "Ricardo di Roma" on it, which I still haven't figured out and pictures of what I think are Roman churches and monument type places? I'm not sure yet.

PLUS, my grandpa told me he had it blessed by Pope Pius XII when he was in Rome for the war. He said even though Pius did some controversial things, he still thinks he was a good Pope so he stood in line for a long time to get this blessed by him in hopes of passing it on to someone else in his family someday. He gave it to me.

This is pretty cool.
