Thank you so much! This means so much, as I've only recently started foraying into Batman fiction, despite being a fan for years, and I just started reading one of your stories, and I absolutely love it!

I had to abandon reading half way through because our heating broke again, and we had to start the weekly wrangle with the landlord. I wish I could say it was as exciting as Batman and Joker's twisted, metaphorical tango, but alas, the landlord doesn't make a great nemesis. The point being, I will go and finish your fic post-haste, and then I will proceed to stalk your journal for more.

I'm really glad that you liked Gordon's mimicry of Joker's opinion about Batman's mental stability and dress sense. I wasn't sure whether to put that in there or not. It was deleted and put back in more than a couple of times.
Mostly, I just love that Joker can master the act of being funny and disturbingly, potentially honest, and with my slightly more hostile, resentful version of Gordon, it seemed to fit.
I'm sure that in the comics, or animated series, or some version of canon, Gordon was a little hostile towards Batman when they first started their partnership. Then again, maybe I imagined it all. I just needed someone who was looking at Batman and Joker from outside the relationship, and I didn't want to pick 'random cop #1'.

Anyway, thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
