Ze Play, Ze Play!
So...rehearsals are not going that well. We had to miss THREE rehearsals for various reasons (days off of school, guest artist, etc.) and we just found out that like the only actor who has their lines completely memorized is leaving. For good. Like, tomorrow. So we had to run around and get a replacement who...I don't think is going to do the part as well as Kelly did. Kelly and Aryn had this like brilliant chemistry and Stephen and Aryn have this like...no chemistry feeling. idk. I need to be more positive about this.
It's just that because of missed rehearsals, it feels like we're still blocking everything and nobody has their lines memorized except for Kelly who is moving to LA like tomorrow. We were doing Scene IV yesterday and it just felt like the actors were like "Teashop yesterday! Uh.....uh...uh...how can you...uh...say that to me?" I mean, I'm not mad at them or anything...Aryn has a whole other play to memorize but still guys. We're opening in like two weeks and this is the state of Little Teapot.
Then again, it's OSA. Nothing goes right at OSA. Last year, Sound of Music rehearsals STARTED like a week before the planned opening night.
