I liiiiiiiiive!!!
I've gotten completely out of the habit of posting. >_<;; don't know exactly why, maybe just because I'm not all that sure people need to reaqd my little rambling posts. I have been on LJ just as much, just not commenting much or posting... erm... at all...
aaaanyway, I finished for the year a week ago, and today I got my RESULTS (well, unless the external examiners change them...)
I got 2 As, an A- and a B!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and why yes, I am STUPIDLY HAPPY ABOUT THIS!!! Whereas at the end of last year I felt a bit lost, kind of like- what have I DONE all year... this year I really feel like a graphic designer. I feel like I've been given the freedom to do more or less what I want, and the fact that I've gotten really good grades out of it too is just UBER rewarding :D :D :D :D
AND!!! ATTENTION ANYONE WHO'S BEEN TO, OR LIVES IN JAPAN!!! (er... that's pretty much everyone right XD)
For my first project of next year (which I have to start researching over the next few months) I got to write my own brief, and I've chosen (surprise) to do it about Japan :D
I've decided to do an illustrated book, something along the lines of "Japan for Dummies", which would be filled to the brim with quirky facts and figures, oddments and annecdotes about Japan, the sort of stuff that you wouldn't nexessarrily get from your average guide book. Everything from Manga cafes to the umbrella stands outside combinis and etiquette at plays and concerts XD
So... I NEED YOUR HELP! and I warn you, I will be badgering everyone about this for many weeks to come XD basically, if you can give me a list of any odd things about Japan, anything that's quirky or different from Western cultures. This can be ANYTHING. The more the better. You can send me a big honking email full of stuff or just post random comments every now and then when you think of stuff, but I will need you guys to help me on this. I've only been for 2 weeks, so whilst I can remember quite a lot of random bits, there'll be a lot I've forgotten or that I just didn't get the chance to witness.

In other news, I don't know what's been going on with British weather but it's been gloriously sunny now for about 2 weeks solid! This is not normal... But I love it XD
