It's been a while since i've updated. Not a lot has changed. I still feel like being a bum and not really going out.
Meg and i went to texas last week. It was awesome. Just a solid week of R&R...we layed out, shopping, went boating, went fishing, slept for 75 hours! Damn! yeah, that's what you do when your flight is delayed...you calculate everything. It was very good for us to get away and spend some quality best friend time together. It's funny though...Meagan will always always be my best friend but i was amazed at what one year apart can do to a friendship. Not that it's bad or dampered or anything like that, it's just that i've begun to see our differences more clearly which are setting us apart from one another. Not that this is a bad thing. I think it's healthy and will make us stronger individuals..but it's a change.
I went to Green Bay this weekend to play in the Circle Tap grass tournament with Resi and Amy. Res called me late on thursday night, asking me if i'd come up and set for them...So of course, right after work on friday i loaded up the car and hit the road. I met up with Resi, Amy, Laura, and good old Johnny Wheelock in Oshkosh. We got to Denmark around 8:30 and started to drink right about 8:31...none of us wanted to get wasted because we had to wake up and play in the morning, but Amy is the biggest lightweight in the world...nobody knew this but us, but I took Amy's shots for her...the ones she didn't like anyway. So, needless to say, i had double the alcohol and wasn't even close to Amy. Haha, poor poor girl. At 12:00 we left the bar, only to drive around for two hours to find a hotel...naturally, the first place we stopped HAD a room, but 100 dollars was too much for FIVE of us to split...not my decision...not Amy's...hmmm? At 2AM, John walked back to my car where Amy and i were and informed us that they were just going to drive back to the bar and sleep in the parking lot. We said "ok" and hit the road to go back to the Holiday Inn. Hell no, i wasn't going to sleep in the fucking car and then get up and play. So Amy paid for the room, and i ended up with my own bed and a hot shower. yesssssss! We played like shit and basically got our asses kicked, but it was still enjoyable. I got to hang out with Mike, Adam and Matt. I love those kids...Stayed to watch Jason Wheelock get too drunk to play in the semi finals and lose it for his team. After the finals, followed Amy as she drove Mike's van home for him because he was a little drunk...haha! I went and stayed at Ashley's house and even got to hang out with CASEY!! WOOO WOOO! oh yeah, and tyler. Casey's hair was long enough to put in pigtails, i think and Tyler spent most of the time on the floor, contemplating his sexuality...hahahaha - what do you think Ash?
I absolutely LOVED seeing everyone!! It just made me happy! I wish that i felt that here at home this summer. This is so strange. I could just see Megan and Beth all summer and be fine. I am excited for Waupaca...more good times to come...
