ADVENT CHILDREN!

So Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children finally, finally came out on DVD. And after going out to bufu Walmart (hey, there's a Steak'n'Shake on 75th street, who knew?) I now own the glorious wonderfulness that is this movie. And it's amazing, mind-blowing, hilarious, crazy-go-nuts, freakin' sweet, badass, [insert more adjectives here]. Now I know none of you have played this game (with the exception of Brandon) and probably don't care but I'm going to rant about it anyways. (Just so I don't ruin anything for anyone, my comments are under the cut now too.)
The plot was pretty interesting, though I get the feeling the animators were just sitting in a room somewhere going "Look what we can do! Wheeeeeeeeeee!" I'm probably going to have to watch it a few more times before I understand all of it. I never actually did finish the game so I guess some things won't be clarified until I do. I knew what was going on most of the time though, and Cloud was hot as ever, so it's all good. I watched it dubbed since I was watching it with my brother (and he's not an anime snob), and some of the voices weirded me out. Barret has the same voice actor who does the english voice for Jet from Cowboy Bebop. So imagine Jet, and then imagine that voice coming out of a character that is essentially a Mr. T clone with a gun arm. It's....strange. And Rachel Leigh Cook as Tifa...wtf, mate? Cloud had a sexy voice, and so did Reno, therefore it meets my two main requirements for a good dub and I'm not really going to complain.
And Reno? He was the most hilarious thing ever. I vote there should be a Reno and Rude Variety Show (with special guest appearances by Cloud) because the two of them made me bust a gut throughout the movie. The fight scenes were pretty badass, even if they were so crazy you couldn't tell what was going on half the time. The final fight was like Neo and Smith, only with swords, so more awesome. Speaking of which, I think Cloud has more swords than James Bond does STDs. God, how can someone so sexy not be real? It's not fair.This entry is completely random and senseless, but man, I am so ridiculously happy and hyped right now. Wheeeeeeeeee!
